Missing File .SAJ and .SAI
Hi Everyone
I get questions from time to time that there is a missing file.
In order for Sage 50 to work properly it needs to have a folder with extension .SAJ and a File .SAI
If either of these are missing Sage 50 program will not function.
See the picture below.
There are 2 Sage 50 files and Two folders called Good Book Company and Soap and Body Shop.

I am at my wits end. I have Simply Acct. 2011. I was working with my books this afternoon, had to leave so I backed up my work. When I came back my computer was updating or something and my books cannot be recovered. I keep getting the message the connection manager for SA in installed but not available on this computer. I found a file reference that I had worked on my books today at 5:05PM but cannot open it. How do I get help?

Sorry your having problems with getting your backup back.
Your back up should be ok just make sure the extension of the backup is .cab.
about the connection manager. look at the bottom of your home screen where the clock and date is.
there should be an icon Simply Connection manager. click on it see if its running.

My simply accounting Pro 2010 has always been great at my home computer
I went to do my husband small business entries but it said the program is
not running. Tried the
Simply Connection Manager but still nothing. Can not open it at all.
If I have to buy another 2010 I will but hard to find..The computer at home is Windows 10.

Your 2010 Pro Sage software is not running.
Could be 2 things.
1 – you already have the program open in the background. in that case turn off your computer completely and turn it back on and load Sage again.
2- There could be a missing .SAJ or .SAI file and folder. Sage needs these two to load. one will not work without the other. check and see if you have a file and a folder with the exact same names and these two extensions.
if these do not work, you might have to get a newer version of Sage which there is not much difference. Call Sage and see what your best option is if you wanted to upgrade.
